The latest version of ProtoTwin Connect (V2.4) allows you to easily connect to the OpenPLC Runtime (V4.0.5+) via Modbus TCP.
To connect to OpenPLC, first ensure that you have enabled the Modbus server in your OpenPLC project.
In ProtoTwin, add a Tag Server, select Modbus/TCP as the protocol and OpenPLC as the type.
Once the tag server has been added, you can configure the tags that you want to read/write. Enter the address for the tag exactly as it is displayed in OpenPLC.
To connect to OpenPLC, ensure that you download the latest ProtoTwin Connect version. The protocol is available on all supported operating systems, including Windows, MacOS and Linux. Note that you must use OpenPLC Runtime V4.0.5 or later.
