Adding support for Structured Text to the integrated SoftPLC would enable some powerful workflows and use-cases:
- Allowing Torq to generate Structured Text programs, or convert existing TypeScript components to Structured Text.
- Allowing Structured Text programs to be copy-pasted or exported to PLC programming environments, such as CoDeSys and TwinCAT.
- Providing an improved developer experience over PLC programming environments for developing control logic.
- Providing an ideal environment for learning IEC 61131-3 Structured Text.
